Those moments when you feel like you are flailing around on your back on the floor of life, whilst people look on not knowing whether to help you up or quietly walk away. Inevitably you will always get back onto your feet, but more often than not you will fall down, and boy oh boy can that be awkward… Cue the awkward turtle. Sometimes we can get so caught up with succeeding that it’s easy to forget to take a step back and laugh at the times that we fall short of our goals. My life so far has been plagued by failures of varying degrees, but they usually result in amusing, or more accurately humiliating, anecdotes after a brief recovery period licking my wounds. This blog is to encourage anyone taking a fail too hard, to sit back and chuckle at me if you’re not quite ready to laugh at yourself.
Me. I’m a successful failure (to be honest I’ve not tried my hand at too many things yet), and I’ve always been as my mum describes an awkward child. I like to think it has something to do with being left-handed in a right-handed world!
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
